PG Cougars go on shopping spree for underprivileged kids

Prince George Cougars players took time Monday to help make some local kids’ Christmas a little merrier.

For just under two hours, players teamed with kids for a shopping spree at Walmart.

“It means a lot because growing up the community gives a lot to us and to be able to give back and support other families is really awesome,” explains Cats prospect, Cole Beamin.

“Christmas is a special time of the year and there are some families that can’t afford to give the gifts that they want so this is a great opportunity.”

Even some of the more fortunate kids, like Logan, understand the importance of giving.

“It makes me feel pretty warm and fuzzy inside,” he says.

There were about 50 kids taken on the spree.
