Grade five to 10 students will have a chance to grab an insider look at in-demand careers Tuesday.
WorkBC‘s Find Your Fit tour will be in Prince George looking to educate young people on the nearly one million expected job positions that will be opening up over the next decade.
“917,000 jobs are going to be opening by 2027,” says Melanie Mark, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills, and Training.
“This is due to retirements and just because of economic growth so we need to make sure that we train people up.”
There is a wide range of careers to look at, including trades such as carpenters, electricians, and heavy-duty equipment mechanics needed in the north.
The event takes place and the John McInnes Centre from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
