Local Winery Is More Environmentally Friendly After Becoming Carbon Neutral

The Northern Lights Estate Winery is going green to reduce it’s carbon footprint.

The wine producer has volunteered to be apart of CN’s Carbon Reduction project in partnership with both the Chamber of Commerce and UNBC.

Students get a chance to interact with local businesses by doing carbon footprint analysis, than present the information to companies on how they can be more environmentally friendly says assistant professor at UNBC Kyrke Gaudeau.

“In the carbon footprinting course, it’s not the only solution, but it’s one way to help improve how business operates it also really helps their professional skills. They learn how to analyze data, produce great looking reports give public presentations to businesses.”
