One more Talktober session this month

It’s one down, one to go for the Talktober information sessions in Prince George.

Yesterday, the city held the first of two in the Bob Harkins Branch of the Prince George Public Library.

The sessions are a way for the public to connect with the Mayor and other members of council by receiving information on various topics regarding the city and for the public to ask questions directly to city officials.

“It’s an opportunity for us gain more information from folks about things they’d like to see us do,” explains Mayor Lyn Hall.

“As I’ve said all along, it gives us an opportunity to tag those comments onto our budget deliberations.”

Talktober had to be pushed to late November this year due to the Four Seasons Leisure Pool and Fire Hall #1 referendum taking place in October.

“Normally we would’ve had Talktober events, probably four of them, in October so we decided to have two of them in November,” Hall says.

“We still wanted to hear from the public about the general operation of the city.”

The second, and final, information session is scheduled for Wednesday, November 29th, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, with a presentation from the Mayor at 7:00pm.

This session will also be in the Bob Harkins Branch of the PG Public Library.
