The 24th Annual Festival of Trees is holding its public opening today.
Last night was the official opening where they held a fashion show.
Event Coordinator Shirli Gene-Sadowick says the turn out for the show was impressive.
“We were like 320 people sold out. It was a really great event and the ladies had a lot of fun.”

It’s developed a lot since it first launched 24 years ago added Sadowick.
“We wanted it to grow as a family tradition and it has definitely become that over the last couple of years. We are having second generations come in.”
Thea Windlf brought her family and says it’s a good learning opportunity for her kids.
“They love looking at all the different trees and it’s nice too get them use to the idea that this for a donation and for a cause as well.”
the event is 10 days long and this year they are raising money to upgrade the breast health imaging centre.
