Northern Health addresses Ebola virus concerns

With cases of Ebola now popping up in North America, people are growing concerned about the spread of the deadly virus.

Despite this, Chief Medical Officer with Northern Health Sandra Allison says there is no need for panic. As the spread of the virus in a modern healthcare system may not be as ruthless as its been in the East:

“..And so you can imagine that the transmission patterns that happen in those countries are far more pronounced than you would see in a country where we have very strict infection control measures”

So far in Africa the outbreak has killed almost 33 hundred people. A case of Ebola is being tested for in Toronto, but the case itself is said to be isolated.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
