Local residents will be able to voice their input on upcoming engineering improvements to a popular Prince George park.
The City is hoping to upgrade Cottonwood Island Park, specifically from the Heritage River trail all the way to the Cameron Street Bridge, which has been exposed to erosion in the last few months.
Seasonal flooding and ice jams are the main reasons for the damage.
In a statement project manager Michael le Morvan says DWB Consulting Services has been hired to explore all options.
“Each of the options differs in their overall cost and impact to the Nechako riverside habitat. We are excited to be able to share these options with residents who love this unique part of Prince George.”
Members of the public are being invited to an open house taking place this Thursday, 5PM to 8PM at the PG Public Library to discuss more on the upgrades.
