The first of three Junior B Hockey weekends in Quesnel has been dubbed a huge success.
Matt Kolle, who is trying to bring a team to the city, says he is happy with everything he’s seeing.
“You know the fan support was great, everybody had a good time. The volunteers, the game day volunteers, like a well oiled machine and as far as the teams went, they battled hard and it was competitive hockey and represented the KIJHL very well.”
Just under 2,100 people took in the two games and Kolle says those numbers should have sent a clear message.
“I think there is going to be positive reviews from the President and the Vice-President to the rest of the governors in the league. I think it was really important that they came up and participated and i think their feedback is going to be very positive and is going to bolster our bid.”
The Kamloops Storm will be back in Quesnel on December 8th and 9th.
