Prince George RCMP have received a report from School District 57 advising one of their students found a pencil sharpener blade in a chocolate bar while Trick or Treating.
The child was not harmed.
While out on Halloween night, the child went to homes in the Ospika Boulevard area between Ferry Avenue and Rainbow Drive.
Police are recommending parents check all treats before letting their children eat the candy and to throw out anything with damaged packaging, slice fruit, and avoid homemade treats from people you do not trust.
RCMP also say these types of reports are extremely rare and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact PG RCMP or Crimestoppers.
