The official results for the Fire Hall #1 and Four Seasons Leisure Pool referendum were released Monday.
The results showed the public voted in favour of both, with 82.79% voting yes for the Fire Hall and 62.48% voting yes for the pool.

Fire Hall = 82.79% YES (6520 to 1355)

Of the eligible voters, only 14.37% participated had their voice heard.
This comes despite multiple information sessions leading up to the vote and a number of advanced polling dates.
Councillor Jillian Merrick says she is people had the information available.
“I think what was really important is that a lot of people got involved with the information, a lot of people watched the videos we had, the town halls, website viewings.”
This is not a Prince George specific issue, as voting numbers across the province are down wholesale.
