On Sunday, October 22nd, former Chief Stanley Thomas passed away at the age of 59.
Chief Thomas, a member of the Frog Clan (Lhtseh yoo), was a political leader who played a role in supporting and mentoring his peers in the region and at various negotiation tables.
He also worked to pass on the values and teachings of his culture and stood up to protect inherent Rights and Title of the Saik’uz First Nation.
Chief Thomas is survived by his wife Karen and his children Reena, Elijah, Stanley Dean, Raymond, and Noah.
The funeral is at the Multiplex in Saik’uz First Nation on Saturday, October 28, at 2pm.
