BCIT students will webcast 'Canada Games TV TODAY'

The Canada Winter Games are partnering with BCIT to broadcast a daily 30 minute online show throughout the games.

Canada Games TV TODAY will be powered by ViaSport and BCIT students.

BCIT Broadcast and Media associate dean Randy Singer says the broadcast won’t focus on the live events;

“This coverage is going to differ from the major broadcasts in that it will be focusing on content that it the untold stories and behind the scenes aspects of the games.”

Singer went on to say just how much this partnership would benefit tomorrow’s broadcasters;

“We pride ourselves in the program of the students having real world experiences so they are really ready when they start their careers and this is really going to raise the bar in terms of the experiences those students will be able to get”

The show will webcast live on canadagamestv.ca (still under construction), with previous episodes available for on demand streaming.

A programming schedule will be announced in November.
