Mountain culture festival peaks in PG

The Peak Canadian Climbing and Mountain Culture Festival is in town beginning tomorrow.

Among the main attractions is world-renowned Canadian climber Sonnie Trotter.

He will be a keynote speaker at the Gala Evening at Northern Lights Estates Winery on October 20th.

There are 60 tickets available for the Gala, it includes wine, appetizers, networking, and an art exhibit.

Annie Doran, Manager of Marketing and Communications at Tourism Prince George, says the climbing community is growing stronger in the PG.

“I think it’s very prominent, of course it’s a niche just like mountain biking or fishing is but there’s definitely a strong community,” she says.

The festival runs from October 11th until October 22nd.
