A large grow-op of 3,000 marijuana plants has been found by police west of Burns Lake.
Police say they found the grow-op on Highway 16 near Forestdale Canyon Road on September 30th.
Two men have been arrested by Burns Lake RCMP and are scheduled to appear in court on December 8th.
Police say an investigation into a Prince Rupert resident with ties to an organized crime group led them to the rural property.
“This investigation shows the multi-jurisdictional ties that organized crime groups have in Northern B.C.”, stated Inspector Blake Ward, Officer in Charge of the Prince Rupert RCMP.
The RCMP say they will continue to target individuals with ties to organized crime groups.
The police are encouraging anyone with information related to criminal activity to contact your local RCMP, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
