Long time Prince George resident Terri McConnachie announced her intention to run for city council this afternoon at the PG Civic Centre. McConnachie is the current executive officer for the Canadian Home Builder’s Association in Northern BC.
During her announcement she echoed other candidate’s calls for infrastructure and snow removal improvements, but she also voiced the importance of an attractive looking Prince George as well;
“I think Prince George is a beautiful city. We need to continue to invest in that because I do believe that is what people judge us by; how our city looks when you drive around. It’s nice to have nice clean streets, parks and everything well groomed.”
McConnachie says she has high hopes for the next council;
“If we can get a really good group at the council table that works together well with stepped up communication and a collective goal of making Prince George the best city it can be; it will be amazing what can happen.”
Election Day is November 15th.
