Wildfires in RDBN and Prince George Fire Centre see no significant growth

Although there’s been no significant growth on three fires in the Prince George Fire Centre, three separate evacuation alerts are still in effect.

Fire Information Officer Olivia Pojar says there have also been no reports of property damage due to the fires.

Two of the fires still have two evacuation alerts in the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako.

The Sutherland Road fire north of Fort Fraser is still over 1,500 hectares and is 80% contained. Public access in that area is restricted to residents and workers.

The Big Bend fire near Finger Lake is still 0% contained at over 2,00 hectares.
