Northern Health Connections make final rounds for 2015

Northern Health’s Connections program is shifting to a holiday schedule.

The bus program provides transportation for residents travelling to medical appointments outside of their home communities.

“The holiday schedule will commence next week” said Jonathan Dyck with Northern Health. “The last date that a bus will run is December 23rd.”

A two week break, beginning on Christmas eve, will allow for annual bus maintenance.

“Being able to take them off the road for a couple weeks during a slower time, that has less impact on people that are travelling for non-urgent health services, really helps make sure that maintenance can get done and that the buses are ready for operation come January 2016” said Dyck.
