The sixth annual Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament will be featured Friday at the CN Centre, and Saturday at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club.
Over the past five years, the Cougars and the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation have teamed up to raise just shy of $300,000 towards healthcare in Northern BC, including more than $60,000 in 2016.

All proceeds from this weekend’s sold-out tournament will be put towards the purchase of ECHO ultrasounds for cardiac diagnostics and emergency care.
“This tournament continues to make an impact on better health outcomes for patients in the North,” commented Judy Neiser, CEO for Spirit of the North.
“This year is shaping up to be another successful fundraiser for the Spirit of the North,” adds Tournament Chairman Gary Samis.
“We are hoping to raise in excess of $70,000. At the end of the day this tournament is all about fun and celebrating the accomplishments and memories created by our alumni, but the end goal has always been to generate much-needed funds for our local hospital.”

- Eric Brewer (1995-1998)
- Blake Robson (2000-2003)
- Dan Baum (1998-2003)
- Sam Ruopp (2012-2017)
- Jansen Harkins (2012-2017)
- Ty Edmonds (2012-2017)
- Chase Witala (2010-2016)
Additional guests include Vancouver Canucks alumni Darcy Rota (1979-1984) and Garry Monahan (1974-1978) along with Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Brandon Manning.
A Meet and Greet, autographs and dressing room tours with Cougars Alumni, staff, Rowdy Cat, and four other well-known local mascots is open to the public Friday from 4PM to 5PM at the CN Centre.
