Central Mountain Air (CMA) has added a second new flight route out of the YXS Airport in two days.
The agency will provide a non-stop service from Prince George to Edmonton, taking off on July 9th.
In a statement, CMA President Douglas McCrea says the new connection will provide opportunities within and outside of the route network.
Prince George Airport Authority CEO John Gibson says Edmonton has been the most requested flight for more than 10 years.
“CMA has put their confidence in YXS by adding this service. The success of this route is dependant upon the support of the community.”
The flight will be operated six days a week using a 30-passenger seat aircraft, taking out the option of flying to Vancouver and eliminating a four-hour journey.
The flight schedules are as follows (all Pacific time):
- 9M838 = PG to Edmonton >>> departing 4:10PM, arriving 6:25PM (Sunday-Friday)
- 9M831 = Edmonton to PG >>> departing 8:40AM, arriving 9:05AM (Monday-Thursday)
- 9M835 = Edmonton to PG >>> departing 11:05AM, arriving 11:30AM (Sunday & Friday)
CMA adds it’ll help passengers travelling out of Terrace, Smithers, Fort Nelson, and Dawson Creek to access the Alberta capital.
