After a new provincial sample survey was conducted in BC and Alberta, it found that British Columbians get rubbed the wrong way when it comes to littering.
Respondents of the survey were asked about 14 behaviours that may be witnessed on a regular day and then rate them according to how upset it made them. A few of the top five here in BC included a whopping 94 percent of respondents finding trash throwing as the biggest nuisance followed by using a handheld phone while driving, and parking in a handicapped stall which found 90 percent of respondents finding fault.
Overall though, most people in BC found their fellow citizens to be law abiding.. with 88 percent of respondents here in BC agreeing that most residents in their Municipality were good neighbours who followed the rules.
The survey was handled by a company out of Vancouver called InsightsWest and they offer a variety of surveys, for more information and to take your own survey, visit Yourinsights.ca or Insightswest.com.
