Students at Giscome Elementary will see two new modular classrooms, once school is back in session.
District Superintendent Brian Pepper says students will see familiar materials when they come through the doors, but with a smell of a new facility .
“It’s a feeling like no other for kids,” Pepper says. “They will be delighted and thrilled and I’m sure there will be a large contingent of parents who are as excited as the kids to see that building. I think it’s a very attractive and it’s going to be a wonderful place of learning for these kids.”
He says they have 20 students registered at the school and expect the modular classrooms can hold up to 30 students each.
The school will also be home to the newly built East Line Activity Centre.
