1-in-5 city residents are between 50 and 64 years old and the seniors’ population is expected to grow over the next decade.
One of the first steps is making a design policy and checklist that assesses new and existing city-owned facilities.
“That design policy would be really useful for those types of elements, just making sure that the city can know how all of their facilities measure up. Once we know where we need to improve facilities and we can allocate funding to do that.” – City Planner Hillary Morgan
