Environment Canada issued the warning last week, saying 10 to 20 millimeters could fall over the course of the day.
Friday was warm and wet, with heavy rain and a predicted high of 18 degrees.
There were a few power outages around the city. BC Hydro crews responded to situations as they occurred.
Rain and thunder continued periodically through the evening but the warning was downgraded to a watch.
