Season tickets going fast for Cougars season

With the new ice-age approaching for the Prince George Cougars franchise, the club is expecting big changes for the upcoming season.
Vice President Andy Beesley (pictured) says fans will come in to CN Centre already impressed with the pre-game show on opening night, leading into what he says will be “NHL quality entertainment”.
“We’re committed to improve the music, improve the entire fan experience, the giveaways, the entertainment … really, we’ve kind of ripped everything up and we’ve started from the ground up and have rebuilt the entire program,” he says.
So far, he says season ticket sales are going “Extremely well we’re up over 100% increase over the entire pre-season ticket sales last year,” he explains. “I will also say that from blue-line to blue-line there are some sections that are completely sold out.”
“There’s still plenty of seats available for people that want to be in on the action, but there are sections that are getting very full right now and it’s very encouraging,” Beesley says.
Though it seems most fans have embraced the new ownership culture, Beesley acknowledges that some are hesitant and taking a “wait and see approach”, though he tells them they may miss out on opening night.
“Based on the mood we’re getting from the community I can’t imagine there’s going to be any seats available,” he says. “My fear for people is that they wait a little too long and miss out because people are so used to having so many empty seats that our feature games, our key games this year, are going to be just rocking in the CN Centre and people need to get their seats or they’ll miss out and I hope they don’t.”
Season ticket prices will increase Friday to $508 dollars for adults, $340 for seniors, $337 for students, and $208 for children under 12.
Their opener will be Friday September 26th against Kelowna.
