An evacuation order has been issued for an area southeast of Houston.
The Regional District of Bulkley Nechako is asking people in the China Nose area to leave immediately.
Chair Bill Miller says people in those areas can go to the Heritage Centre in Burns Lake. “People there will make sure people get lodging and get recorded,” he says.
Miller stresses that people can also call the Regional District office in Burns Lake at (250) 692-3195.
An evacuation order is also in effect for the north east half of Tetachuck Lake.
This is due to the Chelaslie Arm Fire, it’s smoke can be seen as far as Prince George and is part of the cause behind the wildfire smoke advisory in the city.
