City looking for public input on Centennial celebrations

The City of Prince George is looking for your advice on how best to celebrate our centennial.
Community Co-ordinator Doug Hofstede says a new Grant Program wants to hear interesting and creative ideas from the community to be taken to city council.
“It can be a new event or project that a group does, or something that they do every year that has an anniversary flavour to it,” he says. “It needs to be open to the public and be celebratory in nature.”
The grant has a total of $25,000, but funding can be broken up to suit various projects’ needs.
The first deadline for submissions is September 30th, the second is January 30th.
Full details can be found at the city’s website.
