PG RCMP say local man missing since November may be victim of foul play

Mounties have an update on a Prince George man who’s been missing since November 6th, 2016.

Leading the investigation, the Detachment’s Serious Crime Section is saying 51-year-old Maxwell Harvey Mayling may have been a victim of foul play.

“That’s what the investigation has led us to believe that that’s a possibility,” says Corporal Craig Douglass, who explains the RCMP are now treating this case as a possible homicide.

“We treat all possible homicides as homicides, in case they’ve turned out to be, then we’ve done our due-diligence.”

Corporal Douglass adds Mayling is known to police in Prince George, Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, and Fort Nelson and is believed to be associated to the drug trade.

“We are asking anybody with any information on Maxwell Mayling’s whereabouts, or what has happened to him essentially, we’re asking anyone to report that to police as soon as possible.”

Mayling is described as:

– First Nations
– 5’9”
– 180 pounds
– Brown eyes
– Salt and pepper hair
– Wears glasses

Police have also located and seized his red 1995 4-door Ford Taurus in downtown Prince George.
