Operation Red Nose is set to have another full weekend of getting people home safely from their holiday festivities.
Spokesperson for the Prince George branch Andrea Johnson says they’re expecting more residents needing help since it’s the last weekend before Christmas.
“We expect 150 to close to 200 rides, so we’re going to have 18 teams on the road just to meet the demand that we expect.”
Johnson says however, the busiest night of the season will likely be New Year’s Eve, and more volunteers would go a long way.
“We have about 26 road teams ready to go, but we’d love to have between 35 and 40 teams ready because we expect to give at least 200 rides on that night alone.”
The current volunteer count for ONR Prince George is nearly 250; the deadline to apply for New Year’s is tomorrow, December 19th.
