Some in Prince George are making their voices heard over the issue of the city continuing to put fluoride in the water.
Sitting in on this week’s council meeting, concerned citizen Jo Grayber questioned how the city is going about putting the issue to referendum this November.
He’s also raising questions about fluoride in the water in the first place.
“They don’t go back to original research that’s being done today,” he says. “There is, in my opinion, enough research out there that puts a whole question on some of these things. All that research says, is basically, we have to do more research.”
Grayber says he spoke to the city, calling it an “ethical issue”, saying “The city is not providing us with full information on this, the information that’s provided by public health officers is typically – ‘Well, the World Health Organization has approved it.'”
A class action lawsuit has also been filed against the city over fluoride in the issue, though Grayber is not connected to that.
