Free reads at YXS

You no longer have to buy magazines or books when flying out of the Prince George airport.

All it takes is your PG library card and access to the wifi to download free reading material at the terminal.

Library Communications Coordinator Amy Dhanjal says this is one less thing for you to worry about when traveling.

“There’s not a lot of opportunities to purchase reading materials at the airport,” she says, “being able to offer free resources to travelers is definitely a great thing for the airport and for the library.”

Travelers will have access to three online collections, which span 9,000 audiobooks, 18,000 ebooks, and 5,000 newspapers and magazines from around the world. There is also read-alongs for the kids.

If you don’t have a library card, you can get a temporary one online at the airport.

Everything you download can be read offline during your flight.
