On December 8, 2016 at approximately 5:30 am, Quesnel RCMP was called to reports of shots fired into a home on Allard Street in Quesnel.
It is alleged the occupants of a small dark coloured vehicle drove by this residence and fired several bullets into the home.
A vehicle was located on fire on Skyline Drive shortly after police arrived on Allard Street. Police are still investigating whether there is a link between that vehicle and the shooting.
Police have secured both scenes. The Forensic Identification Section and Police Dog Services from Prince George have been deployed to assist with the investigation.
“Luckily no one inside the home or in the neighbouring homes were injured,” says Sergeant Chris Riddle of the Quesnel RCMP Detachment. “We take this type of criminal act very seriously and have dedicated all available resources to investigate this disturbing incident. We hope that anyone with information about this crime will do the right thing and come forward to help us solve this case.”
Anyone with information about this crime or who witnessed anything suspicious in the area of Allard Street or Skyline Drive earlier this morning and has not already spoken with the police is asked to call the Quesnel RCMP Detachment at (250) 992-9211 to speak with an investigator or to call BC Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
