The Prince George Salvation Army has officially opened its new thrift store.
Director Roy Law says the building, located in the Hart Plaza, has brought in a number of shoppers already.
He says the money collected by the store will go to more than just the organization.
“Anything that we do get for revenues that come through our business at the store will be used to share right back into the community; give out food to people in need and different things that we can provide for.”
Law commends the city of Prince George for being generous towards the Salvation Army over the years and hopes more donations will pour in.
“We have a great community that’s always donates us a lot of good, used donations and stuff that’s reuseable. We’re able to recycle them and keep them going into the community.”
The Hart Thrift Store is offering special discounts for shoppers until 5PM today to conclude the official grand opening.
