Stabbing suspect arrested and charged

A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that happened last Thursday.

Just after 8 am on November 17, RCMP responded to a reported assault and found a man suffering from an apparent stab wound. A single suspect had fled the scene before police arrived.

An arrest warrant for Kenneth Michael Wipfli was issued the next day. Wipfli is 35 and a resident of Prince George.

He was arrested by police last night at a residence on Oak Street. Wipfli was held overnight and makes his first appearance in court today.

He is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and 2 counts of failure to comply with probation.
