The Prince George Rotary Foundation’s Big Blue Ball raised more than $50,000 this year.
“We ended up having our most successful auction to date which is great news for the work we do in the community,” says Ross Birchall, President of the Prince George Rotary Club which organizes the gala event. This is our 5th time doing this type of event.”
The annual gala raises money for men’s health initiatives and community programs.
“With that money we support our men’s health initiatives and our community projects. Most recently, we donated $10,000 a year for the next 3 years to the Ketso Yoh, the men’s shelter on Quebec St. We also fund the Prostate Cancer support group and we operate men’s health clinics quarterly here in Prince George. So definitely a great event for a great cause.”
These men’s health days have already helped more than 200 men in the community.
