As of tomorrow evening, Masich Place Stadium is closed for the winter.
It’s being winterized by removing the temporary bathrooms. The city would also like to keep people off the track during poor conditions as it wears it out.
It’s the latest park to be locked up. Connaught Hill Park was closed on October 28th, mostly due to road use.
Both Duchess Park and Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park will also be closed and winterized soon. They have active water that can’t be used during the winter
Walkers who used the track for exercise are encouraged to head indoors to the CN Centre and Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
