Three people are facing charges after RCMP searched a downtown business on Friday.
Prince George RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs & Substances Act search warrant on a business on the 1100 block of 3rd Avenue.
Police arrested three people during the search. They seized methamphetamine, marijuana, morphine, “MDA” and a variety of unidentified pills, and found confirmed stolen property from a Break & Enter.
All three accused were released and have promised to appear in court. RCMP believe that “charges are anticipated.”
While on scene Friday, RCMP Superintendent Warren Brown stated the RCMP had been watching the business for a while on suspicion of drug trafficking.
“This location in the community has been known for an over-representation of Criminal Code offenses. We have a lot of complaints from the business community in this area for open drug dealing. We’ve looked at a number of different drug investigative avenues, this being another one.”
The suspects’ names nor any charges have been released.
