Drivers ‘likely’ to face charges after 3-car crash on Foothills bridge

RCMP say motor vehicle charges are “likely” following this morning’s crash.

Around 7:50 AM, Prince George RCMP attended a three-vehicle collision on the Foothills Boulevard Bridge.

Police believe a white Chevy pickup was northbound on the Foothills Bridge when the 31-year-old male driver lost control and crossed the center line. It collided with a southbound blue Chevy pickup being driven by a 43-year-old male. A third vehicle, a blue Ford pickup, being driven southbound by a 28-year-old male, was unable to stop and collided with the other two vehicles.

Emergency crews took two to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say driving too fast and the icy roads were both factors.

RCMP also reported two other vehicle collisions along Foothills Boulevard this morning.

Police are reminding drivers to slow down in poor conditions and give the vehicle in front of you plenty of room to stop.
