This year’s 2017 Fire Fighters calendar campaign will help the Prince George Fire Fighters Local 1372 surpass a giant, $100,000 milestone.
The branch has been raising money for the BC Professional Fire Fighter Burn Centre in Vancouver for two-and-a-half years. Vancouver General Hospital and BC Children’s Hospital are the only level 1 trauma centres in the province, and Burn Fund Centre is meant to be a “home away from home” for patients and their families.
It has eight short-term suites; one of which will be named after the 1372 as a thank you for the donation.
Local Burn Fund Rep Bryan Burleigh says buying a calendar, or donating anything, “is supporting the Province of BC and firefighters throughout the Province.”
The Branch is holding a calendar kick off Saturday at the PG Golf and Curling Club at 6:30.
You can grab your calendar for $20.
