Cariboo caps off a perfect weekend in Whitehorse over the Chiefs

A 5 goal first period was enough to dazzle the Whitehorse crowd and preserve another Cariboo Cougars victory over the Vancouver Northeast Chiefs on Sunday.

Chiefs goalie Jonathan Holloway was chased from the net after VNE fell behind 5-1 after 20 minutes.

Mason Richey, Brandon Dent, Reid Perepeluk, Darian Long and Riley Krane all tallied for Cariboo in the opening frame.

Affiliate player Grady Thomas closed out the scoring for the Cougars in the third period.
