Spruce City Men’s Fastball Association equipment stolen, again

Spruce City Men’s Fastball President Peter Ghostkeeper stopped by Carrie Jane Gray Park Wednesday to clean up the field. He went looking for a shovel when he realised the shed’s lock had been cut.

The riding lawnmower and trailer were stolen. He believes they are worth about $700 and $1500 to replace new. Ghostkeeper is looking on the bright side, though. He says it could’ve been worse.

“We got a $3000 pitching machine in that one room so I told my son, the vice-president, ‘you better get that pitching machine and take it home or something’ you know? ‘Don’t leave it there.'”

This is the second time this year that the shed has been broken into. About $1000 worth of field and sound equipment was stolen in April. Security measures are expensive, but Ghostkeeper says he’s going to look at his options.

“I’m going to talk to an electrician and see if we can get maybe some lights, you know? So it’d be nice to have money for a camera, you know?”

Ghostkeeper’s not sure why someone would do this. He adds this won’t affect the start of the season.
