The City has released a draft of the future of Prince George parks and wants to hear from you before plans are finalised.
The report covered feedback from about 500 residents, says City Parks’ Planner Laurie-Ann Kosec
“What we heard is that people value parks and they want to see improvements. Specifically, they’re looking for investment in riverfront parks and trails, developing more destination parks like Duchess Park, connecting our trail system, and also improving our neighbourhood parks.”
Some high priority improvements highlighted in the report include bandshell upgrades at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park and better lookouts at Cottonwood Island Park and Forests for the World.
You can voice your opinion at any of the five upcoming Talktober sessions or through the online feedback form until November 16, 2016.
All input will be considered in a final Park Strategy that will go before Council in the new year.
