UPDATE: Power has been restored.
Just under 600 homes are in the dark on the north end of Blackburn Road and across Highway 16 on Shelly Road North.
BC Hydro says the lights went out at shortly after 9am. They are estimating power will be restored at 3pm.
Spokesperson Bob Gammer says they believe a tree is the source of the outage.
