Inquiry wants your input on grizzly bears Wednesday

The future of grizzly bears is being looked after, thanks to an inquiry from the Grizzly Bear Foundation.

It will be stopping in Prince George and holding a public discussion on Wednesday, September 28th, the second of six stops in BC.

Executive Officer Chantal Shah wants to hear from you about the threats these bears face. She says the first step to helping grizzlies starts with you.

“We hope to go out and get real opinions on what the threats are to these animals and then from there I think we can look at programming and solutions and how Grizzly Bear Foundation can work to help mitigate those threats.

Shah says the bear’s biggest threat is human interactions, which include habitat loss, hunting, and climate change.

Wednesday’s open house will be at the Ramada Plaza. Registration is at 6:30 PM, doors open at 7 PM.

If you can’t make it, you can email Shah at [email protected].
