UNBC supporting AiMHi with annual fundraiser Saturday

UNBC students will be in all over the city on Saturday, participating in the school’s annual Northern Students Give Back event.

Over 40 school clubs will wash your car, busk, or cook – by donation – to raise money for AiMHi, a local charity that Northern Undergraduate Student Society President Arctica Cunningham and organisers handpicked to receive this year’s funding.

“We think it’s a really important charity and we think that they just give back a lot to our community. Not only the support that they give to the people that are participating in the program but also to the community as a whole.”

Included in the aforementioned community is campus, where Cunningham says AiMHi plays a big role each spring.

“They support UNBC by coming and helping clean up the residences at the end of the year and taking away all of the unwanted items that students have left behind when they move out and giving those away to a good home.”

Some of Saturday’s biggest events will be a BBQ, face painting, and entertainment in Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park at 2 PM and car washes at Ruckus and the Hart Husky from 10 AM – 4 PM.
