Parolee arrested with large quantity of meth

The Prince George RCMP have taken a parolee back into custody following a drug bust on the edge of the VLA.

In the afternoon of Wednesday Sept 14th, police located and arrested a 39 year old man for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Breaching Conditions of his Parole.

RCMP say the man was attempting to flee from police on his bicycle on the 2000 block of Pine Street when he was arrested.

He was found in possession of:

· 96 grams of methamphetamine
· 5.5 grams of heroin
· A large methamphetamine pipe
· A significant amount of cash
· Two scales
· Two cell phones
· Four large knives
· Other drug trafficking paraphernalia

The suspect’s parole has been suspended and he remains in custody. Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges are being considered.
