Wind warning for Prince George / Vanderhoof

A wind warning is in effect for Prince George and Vanderhoof.

A deep low pressure system will move across Northern BC this evening bringing winds of 70km/h with gusts up to 90. The winds will ease after midnight as the system moves out of the area.

Environment Canada has issued the statement. “Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.”

More information can be found on Environment Canada’s website.
