The Westgate subdivision will have new neighbours.
Construction is starting immediately on 36 new two- and three-bedroom, open-concept townhomes. These will range from 1,270 to 1,400 square feet, and start around $300,000.
City Councillor Susan Scott believes this is great for many demographics in Prince George.
“I think it’s wonderful; starter homes but also or folks who are winding down, maybe towards the end of their working life that want to simplify but stay in their own space as opposed to an apartment.”
With the new homes, developing company, NewRock’s, President Cam Ens says people can own property sooner than they thought.
“As a city grows – like Prince George – the single-family houses start to get a little more expensive and here you can get into something that’s new, high quality, and in a great location for a pretty nice price.”
Developers should have a show home ready for May.
