Victim of fatal cyclist collision identified

The BC Coroners Service has identified the cyclist who was killed in Prince George last week.

Local resident, 36 year Louis John Olson was riding his mountain bike eastbound on 15th Ave when he was in a collision with a semi truck at the Carney Street intersection. He was deceased at the scene. In a previous release, the PG RCMP stated the cyclist was not wearing a helmet.

The accident resulted in the closure of intersection for most of the day.

The BC Coroners Service, Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement, and the RCMP continue to investigate this death.
