A&W holding ‘Burgers to Beat MS’ fundraiser today

A&W is holding its ‘Burgers to Beat MS’ fundraiser today.

One dollar from every teen burger will go to fight the disease.

“Canada has the highest rate of multiple sclerosis, it’s actually 1 in every 340 people – which is quite surprising.” Roberta Stewart, Chair of the MS Society of Canada said “So one of the things the MS Society does is fundraising for research, it’s definitely something where we want to find a cure and ways to help people affected with MS.”

In addition to buying a Teen Burger, supporters can also donate through rounding up their bill at the register, purchasing $2 paper cutouts, and giving through in-store donation mugs.

This is the 8th year for the one day fundraiser. Over the years, more than $8M has been raised for MS research in Canada.
