The Prince George Fire Centre is on high alert for any wildfire activity this weekend.
Fire Information Officer, Amanda Reynolds says the recent warm spell should force everyone to exercise caution.
“We have had above seasonal temperatures all week in the Prince George Fire Centre and were just reminding the public we don’t have a campfire ban in place and we want everyone to be safe out there by putting out their campfires and extinguishing them.”
It’s been an odd wildfire season according to Reynolds due to the early spike in April followed by a stretch of wet weather in June and July.
You should have 8 litres of water on hand along with a shovel.
